Over Green Grass and Mud-Brown Earth,
Bathed In The Rays Of A Yellow Sun,
You And I, And Other Mortals Run.
An Orange Dawn Greets All Of Us,
A Black Night Puts Us All To Sleep,
We All Bleed Shades Of Crimson Red,
We All Turn Grey When Age Dyes Our Heads.
Pink Tulips Are Serene, White Doves Are Divine,
Silver, Gold and Platinum Doth Always Shine,
There's Beauty Galore In Each Colour And Hue,
Though We're All Different, You're Like Me And I'm Like You.
And Yet We Mortals Gather Where 'Brethren' We Can Trace,
Coloured Flags We Hoist On Rooftops, To Mark Our Faith And Race,
Blacks, Browns, Whites, We All Stand Far Apart,
We All Stand Divided By The Colour Of Our Face.
Maybe Nature Should Have Left Us Colourless In A Colourful World...
